Reflections on Love

The path of personal power is a path with heart, and the heart is the doorway to love.

Living in the heart enables us to love—to love Life itself, to love ourselves, and to love others. I am not sure that it is possible to love, or even allow ourselves to be loved, without possessing personal power. Personal power enables us to love ourselves, which is the first step to both giving and receiving love.

We are born with our heart wide open. Perhaps this is what most attracts and endears us to a newborn baby. We are, in effect, an open circuit connected to the life force that becomes personal power when it is expressed in us and through us as individual human beings. But tragically, our life experiences tend to close our hearts, thereby breaking the circuit connecting us to the source of our personal power and thus making it more and more difficult for us to love.

As Jesus said, “You must be born again” and “You must become like a child.”

Our ultimate purpose in life is to reopen our hearts, to reconnect to the Source of personal power…and to love.
