Reflections on Evolution
For me evolution is truly the BIG PICTURE. Evolution is continuous change, The universe is evolving, our solar system is evolving, the Earth is evolving, humans are evolving, our cultures are evolving, and each of us evolves throughout our lives.
Evolution is a doorway to personal power from two significant perspectives. First, we have the choice of "plugging into" the evolutionary current, versus being unaware of it, or worse, consciously resisting it. Are we open to change, or not?
Perhaps you remember seeing the TV commercial in which a group of old, white-haired men are meeting in a darkened boardroom around a table covered with dust and cobwebs. These out-of-touch corporate ostriches insist that there is no need to change...clearly, their refusal to recognize and respond to the altered reality facing their company will spell doom for this already dying organization.
In addition to our decision whether or not to be open to evolutionary change, we face an even more momentous choice. As human beings we have the opportunity--and the challenge--to actually participate in the course of evolution. With our free will and our intelligence we are the only creatures on the face of the Earth with the ability to create or alter the future. This capability has been aptly called "conscious evolution." Conscious evolution is a direct expression of collective or group personal power.

The Darwin Project
It turns out that Charles Darwin spent the later years of his life studying and writing about much more than "the survival of the fittest." In fact, he had much to say about the uniqueness of man and the importance of morality. Sound interesting? Check out The Darwin Project web site.
